Exclusive interview: Craig Landale, founder of MenswearStyle
MenswearStyle is a leading independent online men's fashion, grooming and lifestyle magazine. We caught up with Editor-in-Chief, Craig Landale, to discuss his career, top style tips and what he loves about London.
“I am the Founder of Menswear Style. I'm also the Editor-in-Chief so I'm responsible for organising the article topics with the Editorial Team. I really enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of working for myself and also have a passion for product, especially in the men's interests sectors. Working in fashion is very fast paced. The trends, gossip, innovations and news come at lightning speed. You have to obsess and fully immerse yourself into it to truly succeed.”
My Life in London
“What I love about London is the cool hubs and pockets of shops that are away from the usual tourist areas. I especially like visiting new coffee shops and independent menswear stores.”
“I usually dress for comfort and practicality, such as athleisurewear and luxury sportswear. However, I also like a good excuse to suit up whenever the opportunity arises.”
My Passion For Fashion
“I was always interested in fashion since high school and I've gone through all the embarrassing fashion phases. I'm so glad camera phones weren't available at that time, so there's no evidence to cringe over!"
My Top Style Tip
“My top suit tip is to never button the bottom button unless it's a one button fastening. This is obvious to many men but I still see this rule being broken on a daily basis - especially at weddings.”
